Fablab Venezia was founded in 2014 with the desire to bring and develop the values of the fablab network to the Veneto region. It serves as a reference infrastructure not only in the local context but also beyond, promoting the digitalization of creative and cultural processes, the implementation of new production and entrepreneurial practices, and social innovation.
Fablab Venezia engages with companies, professionals, artisans, institutions, public administrations, students, and schools, serving as an innovation workshop where traditional craftsmanship meets digital tools and innovative machinery to provide new, eco-efficient, and cost-effective solutions to the manufacturing and cultural heritage sectors.
Since 2025 Fablab Venezia, together with its social enterprise spin-off Prossimi ETS, has established a new 500sqm hub for social innovation in the heart of Mestre, Venezia: The HuB-Human Bits. It is a collective space for experimentation, learning, research, where people and technology can meet.
