I am a retired Australian male aged 64 years living in Taiwan with my partner in Sanmin District of Kaohsiung. I have been studying Chinese at Wenzao University. I have been in Taiwan since October 2020.
My background: I spent 24 years working in Telecom Industry as an Electronics Technician. Then I spent another 20 years working as an analyst, programmer and project manager. I have experience programming in C/C++; Basic; ColdFusion; HTML; JavaScript; I am familiar with TCP/IP and IP networking in general. Unix, Windows and Linux platforms. Applications programming. In this role, I worked in Australia and UK. I also have some experience running a small business.
Recently I have become interested in programming of Arduino, have built several small projects of my own design. I found and became interested in the Smart Citizen project, initiated by FabLabs Barcelona. I want to build their 'Smart Citizen Station' project; with some enhancements of my own added. I am very interested in the environment, and I am concerned about environmental issues I find in Kaohsiung (i.e. Air Pollution).
