IM Lab (Innovation Manufacturing Lab) is a hands-on fabrication and prototyping workshop established in 2025 by Param Foundation in Nayandahalli, Bengaluru. The lab brings together metalworking, woodworking and finishing facilities to help students, educators, makers and innovation teams turn ideas into functional prototypes, exhibits and everyday objects.

Our facilities support fabrication with mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium and wood. Equipment includes MIG and TIG welders, angle grinders, a cut-off machine, panel saw, circular saw, jigsaw, planing tools and chisels. Drills, a Dremel rotary tool, measuring instruments, bench vices, clamps, riveting tools and hand tools support assembly and detailed work. Sanding, polishing and painting capabilities enable projects to progress from raw materials to finished builds.

IM Lab promotes learning through making, experimentation and collaborative problem-solving. We welcome people seeking practical fabrication skills or support with projects, from individual prototypes to full-scale exhibits. Safety is integral to our workshop practice, supported by protective equipment, first-aid supplies and fire safety provisions.
