Château de Montlaville – A Rural Innovation Hub

Located in the heart of Southern Burgundy (France), the Château de Montlaville is a rural third place operated by EcoSo, a cooperative organization dedicated to social innovation and collaborative design.

Designed as a true "factory of possibilities," it brings together residents, associations, artists, businesses, public institutions, and visitors to experiment with new ways of creating, learning, working, and living together.

The Montlaville Fab Lab

The Montlaville Fab Lab is an open, community-oriented makerspace dedicated to discovery, making, repair, and reuse.

Its hybrid approach combines digital fabrication and prototyping tools with more accessible equipment, making it easy for beginners, families, associations, artists, and project leaders to explore hands-on creation.

The Fab Lab enables people to:

Experiment and prototype ideas
Learn through making
Repair and repurpose objects and materials
Share skills and knowledge
Collaborate across disciplines and backgrounds

More than a technical workshop, the Fab Lab is a place for learning, cooperation, creativity, and empowerment, where everyone can turn ideas into reality, regardless of their experience level.
