After visiting FabLabs in Hamilton County, Chattanooga, TN, the Jackson-Madison County School District began planning to open the first MIT certified FabLab in West Tennessee. We worked with a consulting firm from Chattanooga to ensure our first lab meets all MIT FabLab requirements and has practical applications for our students and community. We have opened our FabLab and have begun training teachers to incorporate design thinking into their core academic subject area courses to enhance student learning. We are excited to join the FabLab community!
