Alejandra Díaz de león lastras

Bio

I am a mexican architect and maker with a Master in Advanced Architecture at the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia IAAC in Barcelona, Spain, and graduated from Fab Academy 2014 in Fab Lab Barcelona. I have collaborated with mexican firms such as Taller 13 in sustainable urban and architectural projects and at the multi-disciplinary firm Ezequielfarca as a project manager and designer.
In the last years I have also developed projects of experimentation and parametric interior design as well as workshops related to the use of digital processes and fabrication. I also teach at the UASLP, the university of my hometown San Luis Potosí, México.
For Fab 10 in Barcelona, I coordinated the workshops for kids along with the City Council of Barcelona.
I am currently working in Kinetica, an industrial design firm and workshop for non conventional architectural challenges. I am also interested in starting a FabLab in México to be able to deeply promote inter-disciplinary projects to improve knowledge, skills and tools for innovation in order to achieve progress in the developing world.
